ISSUE 0 - Welcome to The English Reporter
The "English Reporter". The country's newest and truest newspaper — how unfortunate for England.
It seems that there is nothing left to do but to tell the truth.
Then again -
when, throughout history, has there ever been a time where that was not the case?
Really ask yourself that question.
Dig if you can, through the history books they allow us to see; the articles from those times that, by the might and terror of the wide wide, are still available to us (for how long - that is the terrifying question) and search through the opposition of the question I asked.
Because if you think that massive, insurmountable opposition is the reason to answer “Yes” to the prior question, then you may or may not quite grasp the concept of Truth itself.
But we do.
We have something of an idea because of the varied and intense opposition we have received- long before coming online. And because , against the advised counsel of some very intelligent lawyers, we decide to speak and report before the altar of Truth anyway.
We, The English Reporter are modest and severely underfunded lovers of truth, justice and all that comes with it. A regional English paper that can only promise you 2 things for certain, for that is all we’ve got :
We will report in spite of the opposition.
We will publish, regardless of the comfort lost.
(as we have always done due to lacking resources).
We will speak the truth and leave you with the truth- because you and I deserve it.
Because you and I answered the above question with the only right answer possible.
And thus begins the end of the farce that has been parading around as “journalism”. We burn its thousand sprawling, lying-tongued heads off - one article a time.
A Thousand Flames and a Thousand Matches.
We are not new - we’ve merely returned. This paper has merely returned and with it , returns the space, (regardless of how inherently tumultuous) for Truth.
So a toast to truth, at perhaps your behest.
Or pleasure.
That, remains to be seen.
— The Editor in Chief.
